Safety Eyewear Programs

To assure a successful safety eyewear program, the employer must look beyond the quality of the products provided to its employees to the quality and depth of the service and support provided by its chosen vendor. Dispensers Optical Service offers a variety of fitting and dispensing programs designed to reduce the administrative burden of customers' compliance with mandatory eye protection requirements. For your convenience, we've listed the three most popular programs here:

_____ Traditional Program - The employee procures and eye exam and prescription from his or her personal eye care professional and submits the prescription, fitting information and frame selection to the Safety, Personnel, or other designated company department who in turn forwards the order to Dispensers Optical for processing. Upon completion of the order, Dispensers Optical returns the eyewear to either the plant or the employee's designated eye care professional for final fitting and dispensing.

_____ Optometric Referral Network - Dispensers Optical will establish a pre-screened network of eye care professionals within close proximity to the plant from which employees may procure safety eyewear in accordance with the customer's pre-determined Policies & Procedures. All prescription, fitting data, specifications, and co-pay collection (if any), is handled between the network and Dispensers Optical independent of the involvement of the company's Safety of Personnel office.

_____ On-Site Dispensing Programs - Dispensers Optical procures the services of a certified optician who will visit the customer's facility on a regularly scheduled or "as needed" basis to fit and dispense safety eyewear to the customers' employees.
